Owen joined ZooLab in 2016 and works in Ayrshire and the surrounding areas.

Experience: Owen has a BSc. (HONS) degree in Zoology from the University of Glasgow. He has always loved working with animals and has previously worked with horses, cows and llamas, snakes, spiders, bugs and birds!

About: “I love to help people overcome their fears and aversions by handling some of the animals. I like talking to people about their personal experiences with animals and introducing them to creatures they might not otherwise have the chance to see.

My favourite animal is the Madagascar hissing cockroach. People are always surprised by just how tickly they are to hold and they’re very docile to handle.”

Interesting Fact: Owen is an orange belt in the martial art of Aikido.
