The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals)(England) Regulations 2018 which came into effect on 1st October 2018 ensures high standards of animal welfare within any animal related services.

Always make sure that anyone coming to your establishment with live animals in England carries an active Animal Activity Licence, details of which should be on the provider’s website.

Scotland and Wales will be following suit on this and it is hoped that legislation will be in place for this across the next few years. In the meantime, our presenters working within these areas operate at the same high standards as those working under a licence, and are regularly inspected by our in house animal welfare and licensing team.
